Privacy Policy
Pastely is a keyboard. Keyboards see everything you type, so the honest thing is to be exact about what this one does with it: nothing.
Pastely does not collect, store or transmit anything you type. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no account to sign up for.
What stays on your device
Your snippets, your lists, and your clipboard history are stored on your iPhone, in a container shared between the app and its keyboard. Nobody else can read it — not us, and not other apps.
Why the keyboard asks for Full Access
iOS keeps third-party keyboards sealed off until you allow Full Access. Pastely asks for it for one reason: without it, the keyboard cannot read the snippets you saved in the app, which is the only thing the keyboard is for.
Full Access does not send anything anywhere. Pastely does not log keystrokes, does not record what you type, and has no network code in the keyboard at all.
iCloud sync
If you have Pro and turn on iCloud sync, your snippets are copied between your own devices through your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit private database. That data belongs to your Apple Account. We cannot read it, and we have no server holding a copy.
Turning sync off, or signing out of iCloud, stops it. Apple's privacy policy covers what happens to data inside your iCloud account.
Purchases
Buying Pastely Pro goes through Apple. We never see your name, your card, or your Apple Account.
To keep a purchase working across a reinstall or a second device, Pastely uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated for your install, plus the transaction details Apple provides — what was bought and whether it is still active. It is not linked to your identity, and it carries nothing about your snippets.
What we would have to tell you about, and don't
- No analytics or usage measurement of any kind.
- No advertising, and no advertising networks.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No crash reporting service.
- No data brokers, and nothing sold or shared with anyone.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything it stored on that device. If you used iCloud sync, the synced copy can be removed from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Children
Pastely is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date below changes with it, and a meaningful change will be described in the app's release notes rather than buried here.
